Satellite Communications Consultant
Mr Mike Gartside Joined SystemWare Europe in April 2008 as the Satellite Communications Consultant. In his current role Mike is responsible for the day to day running of the satellite communications department as well as conducting engineering visits to all the satellite communication sites for the purpose of inspections, installations and fault rectification.
Mr Gartside served in the Royal Air Force for 11 years in the ground electronics trade. As part of his career he has spent 4 years working within the satellite communications community in Cyprus were he managed and taught the various systems used at Episkopi and Akrotiri.
He specialised in the UKFSC653 system which is currently used in operations overseas. As well as being a subject matter expert in satellite communications he also has an extensive knowledge and background in airfield electronics, heavy radar and computer systems.
Mr Gartside holds an HNC in Electronic Engineering as well as several engineering certificates for specific equipments, including Chloride UPS Systems.
