Pathfinder 'Tacsat' - Remotely controlled portable UHF TACSAT antenna
Introducing the 'Tacsat' portable UHF TACSAT antenna from SystemWare Europe.
'Tacsat' is a fully transportable motorised tripod with quick release mounted
helical antenna which can be hand carried and deployed in your in-theater
HQ.
Traditional designs for portable UHF TACSAT antennas can place severe limitations
on link performance. These tend to be based on manpack antennas and can
lack the gain necessary to give reliable service under adverse conditions.
Placing a higher gain antenna at the HQ can greatly improve link margin,
giving you reliable communications when you most need them.
The fully motorised tripod mount, with integral controller, allows the user to switch satellites by simply selecting from a drop down list. When used in conjunction with SystemWare Europe’s ‘Lynxat’ RF over fibre system, ‘Tacsat’ can be located hundreds or thousands of meters from your radios. A roof mounted antenna can be totally remotely operated without user intervention.
Tacsat Features:
- Lightweight rugged construction
- Fully motorised in azimuth and elevation
