Sentry 90 Universal
The
Universal Sentry 90 design incorporates an array of Mil-Spec connectior
ports pre-wired for data, power and sensor control to provide both internal
and external connectivity for many available COTS sensor and light source
components.
As a result, this simple but powerful design approach provides networkability,
flexibility and adaptability with minimal need for modification when sensors
become outdated, worn out or sensor performance requirements change.
Cost savings to the user result when custom wiring for COTSD or proprietory
devices are not needed. Custom Pan/Tilt interfacing has been made simple
and easy.
Sensor and Pan and Tilt Positioner installations can be an expensive investment.
Dismounting a positioner to change a camera can be a difficult and expensive
undertaking.
Employing a Universal Pan and Tilt that provides wide-range control, data
and power interface will minimise the need to remove the Pan/Tilt from
its location in order to re-wire it for a sensor change. Installing a QuickSet
manufactured interface cable and mounting plate between the Pan and Tilt
and the new devices is likely to be all that is required. QuickSet can
provide interface mounts that match the sensor mount interface. The QuickSet
Universal Pan and Tilt approach is a very cost effective investment for
long-term surveillance installations.
The networking of a Sensor-Pan/Tilt node array is certain to be employed
in any large LAN/WAN/Internet based installation. Sensor tower control
and data connectivity are addressed by QuickSet Pan/Tilt serial data (RS-232A/422/485)
and Ethernet IP control interfaces.
